Go to school, work, marry. That has been Baba’s words describing the order of life. Tariro has not only provided me with a place l call home but a loving and caring family. I gained education and skills through the support and guidance of the Tariro trustees and all our beloved donors. Tariro didn’t only channel me into the world empty-handed, but they made sure that l have the skill to live on. I did a diploma in corporate management and now working at Avana Motors as an Accounts Clerk.
I married in September 2019, and our wedding was to be on the 25th of April 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we failed to have the wedding of our dreams. That didn’t stop our holy matrimony from being performed. Thanks to Rev Philip Mutasa, who conducted it and talked with the Bishop of the Diocese of Harare to celebrate at TYP residence. It wasn’t to our expectations, but it was so beautiful with the support of family and a few friends. It was a day to remember. Currently, we are now renting a bed-sitter apartment in Harare, Waterfalls. Each day of our lives are filled with love and joy. Helping each other to cook, do laundry and clean the dishes. Above all, we both come from a Christian-based family, so it wasn’t challenging to put God at the center of everything we do. Love you all.
Thank you.
John
