From Dumisani:
We planted 7,500 plants of cabbages from seedlings on the 21st of August 2021. The variety is called Fabiola F1, it is an early type that matures after 60-70 days and produces medium sized round cabbage heads. The variety is also known for its consistent high yield and is strong against black rot. I believe good farming starts with choosing the right seed variety. The plants are just over four weeks now and they are forming heads and at this stage the cabbages require approximately 40 mm of water per week. We are expecting our initial harvest on the 21st of October 2021. We are hoping to get the next batch of 7,500 cabbage seedlings this coming week. I have passed this onto Baba for attention. He helps a lot on a number of issues such as market for farm products, taking care of the next batch of seedlings etc.
I believe in a future of organic regenerative agriculture, with a faith born out of words but of deeds.
