We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Takudzwa, one of our “elder brothers” from the St Francis Nhema community! Takudzwa has earned an Upper Second Class pass in Civil and Water Engineering and is now a proud Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

Takudzwa’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. He shared, “It was a pretty tough course, but I enjoyed learning to apply my knowledge from school in practical situations.” Despite lecturer shortages, particularly after Covid, Takudzwa found online resources and a computer provided by Tariro to be essential tools in his success.

So, what’s next for this talented engineer? With a challenging job market in Zimbabwe, Takudzwa will join the farming project in Honde Valley temporarily. With the support of the Tariro trustees, he’ll explore opportunities and plan his future.
