Support Tariro in your will
Tariro is very grateful to all our supporters for the contributions that they make to support our work in Zimbabwe. That support encompasses donations from churches and individual giving by standing orders, as well as one-off donations via our website.
Legacy gifts are also important to our work. These are deeply personal donations, and all legacy gifts, at all levels, are valued greatly and together make up a considerable proportion of the charitable giving that sustains our work.
If you would like to make a gift to Tariro in your will, we would love to hear from you. A legacy, bequest or planned gift to Tariro is a charitable donation that just about anyone can make, wherever you live in the world.
Leaving a gift to Tariro is easy to do and an up-to-date will provides peace of mind. You can leave a gift of any size to us – it will all go to further the charitable objectives in Zimbabwe: the alleviation of poverty there – by the education of children from very difficult backgrounds living in very difficult conditions.
Some people give a specified sum of money. Others leave a residuary gift which is the remaining amount once gifts have been given to family members, friends, and charities.

Tariro is a charity (1136035) and so legacy gifts are exempt from inheritance tax. Leaving a gift in your will may also offer the opportunity to reduce the tax due on your estate.
It is important to consult your legal adviser before drafting a new will, updating an existing one, or making other plans for your estate. But if you already have a will, you can add a gift to Tariro by including a simple codicil (see below).
If you are interested in leaving a legacy to us or would like to discuss how your legacy gift could be used, please contact one of our trustees, Simon Miller, who will be able to discuss options with you. You can reach him on +44 778 639 6808.
We are grateful for every legacy gift received by the charity and thank you in advance for considering us in your plans.
If you have already made a will, you can add Tariro as a beneficiary to it by including a simple codicil. The example wording below can be used by you or your solicitor to amend your existing will.
We fund 50 young people
This has risen from 10 people in 10 years and we hope to keep growing steadily, all the while ensuring that the young people are completely cared for. Help us to do this.
